2017 East Main St. Arts Festival



The 2017 East Main St. Arts Festival, May 6, 2017, Noon-8pm, will create and three block, street scene, that includes Mavericks Grill, Division Brewing and Lester's Backyard. Festival goers will be able to visit 87 artist food/vendor booths, listen to 26 bands on four stages, interact at the kids play area and check out the Pop Up Dog Park. #EMAF2017#FamilyFriendly

For the foodie and the craft beer lover, the #EMAF2017 will include 12 craft beers (award winning and brewed on the block) from Division Brew ing Co., hand made brisket tacos from Mavericks Grill (full menu available), selections from Candlelite Inn, Pantego Bay. For dessert freshpastries from local backeries and ice cream from Pokey'Os

The Star-Telegram’s top foodie writer and chief muckraker pundit, legendary columnist Bud Kennedy, puts in an appearance as the chief speaker at Arlington onTap April 11 at Legal Draft.


Happy Hour Begins at 6 pm. Speaker starts at 7:00 pm. Brought to you by Arlington Historical Society and Arlington Proud along with media sponsorship of Arlington Today Magazine. 

“We ran into Kennedy, naturally, at a new Arlington restaurant and asked him to show up at Tap to tell us all about his strangest Tarrant County dining experiences, and he agreed – if we’d buy dessert,” Tap co-founder O.K. Carter said. “It cost me an extra $5, but he’s worth it.

He’s also going to tell us his top dining out picks – good stuff to know.”“I think he also wanted us to front his beer at Legal Draft, but fortunately we’re a cooperative, collaborative entity,” said Mark Joeckel, the other creator of Arlington on Tap.

Maverick Theatre Company presents


MAVPLAYS 2017 spotlights thought-provoking theatre by iconic playwrights as well as new works from a Maverick Theatre Company playwright-in-residence during a repertory two-week run of performances. This year’s festival features SOME OF THESE DAYS, a new work written and directed by Dr. Natalie Gaupp. ENDGAME written by Samuel Beckett and directed by Kevin Duran and Ashley Peeks and TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND (30 plays in 60 minutes) created by Greg Allen and directed by Fate Ritchey.
